Terms and Conditions

Clear and simple guidelines outlining our practices for jewellery sales, bespoke commissions, professional repairs, and studio visits.

1. Introduction & General Agreement

Welcome to Anvil & Argent. By engaging our studio for any jewellery services, including but not limited to the purchase of items from our collection, jewellery repair, resizing, or commissioning bespoke pieces, you agree to the terms laid out in this document.

We aim to use simple phrases and clear language to ensure you fully understand our working process. These conditions help us maintain the highest standard of craftsmanship for your precious items.

2. Our Jewellery Collection

Pieces purchased directly from our existing studio collection may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase, provided they remain unworn, undamaged, and in their original packaging.

Please note that items which have been modified or resized at your request prior to collection or delivery are considered custom and fall under our bespoke policy, rendering them strictly non-refundable.

3. Jewellery Repair & Resizing

We accept items for repair and resizing following a thorough physical assessment at our studio. We will provide a clear estimate of the work required and the associated cost before any work begins.

  • We document the condition of all items upon receipt. We are not liable for pre-existing fractures, hidden flaws in stones, or weaknesses in metal that become apparent during the repair process.
  • Repair timelines are estimates. Complex silversmithing or unexpected complications may extend the required time to complete the work safely.
  • Items left at the studio for repair must be collected within 90 days of notification of completion.

4. Bespoke Commissions

Commissioning a bespoke piece of jewellery is a collaborative and detailed process. Once a design is agreed upon, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure materials and studio time.

Because bespoke items are crafted specifically for you, they cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once production has begun. Any major design alterations requested after production has started may incur additional fees.

5. Visiting the Studio

We welcome clients to visit the studio to discuss commissions, view our collection, or drop off items for repair. While walk-ins are accommodated when possible, we highly recommend booking an appointment for bespoke consultations to ensure our silversmiths can dedicate their full attention to your project.
